Disney Springs

I was very impressed while eating in Disney Springs. Every restaurant I went to, the first question the server asked the table was if anyone had any allergies. The manager came out and spoke with me at each restaurant and placed my order for me.

Boathouse

When the waiter first approached the table she asked if there were any allergies at the table. When I stated I could not eat gluten, she stated she would get the manager. The manager came to our table and explained items that I could eat and took my order. The waiter then came back and took everyone else’s order. They brought my own bread to the table. It was honestly one of the best breads I have eaten at a restaurant, and there was not an upcharge for gluten free bread. I ordered the crabcakes and a side of mac and cheese. Both were fantastic.

D-Luxe Burgers

I requested a gluten free burger and bun. I discussed cross contamination with the cashier. They explained they take cross contamination seriously and that they had a dedicated fryer for fries. I ordered the gluten free cheeseburger and fries. It was brought out in a box with an allergen sticker and gluten was marked. One of the best gluten free buns I have ever had. The bun did not break apart.

While in a line for a ride at Universal, someone recommended this restaurant to us. Again, the first question the waiter asked was regarding allergies. They had a gluten free menu. I requested the alfredo pasta with shrimp. The manager explained they had a separate station to prepare food. The shrimp was fantastic. The restaurant has amazing décor and they have a “meteor show” every 15 to 20 minutes.

Ragland Road Irish Pub

I went here for lunch and the manager came out and spoke to me. He said they have separate fryers but explained they use the same filtration system each night. He stated there was a small chance of cross contamination, so I chose not to order anything fried. I ordered the shepherds pie, which was very good. I have seen other gluten free reviews on apps, that people were told the filtration system would not cause cross contamination, but based on what I was told by the manager, I did not feel comfortable eating anything from the fryer.

Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'

While I only had a drink here, I did ask about gluten free in the drink mixes and the bartender was very knowledgeable. Their food menu did list “gluten-sensitive items.” This restaurant has many great reviews on the Find Me Gluten Free app, for their gluten free food selection.
